How to Choose and Slice an Avocado
By admin on July 29, 2014
How do you tell if an avocado is ripe?
- Look for an avocado that has a dark green AND black skin.
- The bottom of the avocado should feel slightly soft when you press gently with your finger.
- Lightly press on the stem. If it gives slightly, the avocado is just right to eat today. If the stem does not give, allow the avocado to ripen 2-3 days. If the stem easily pushes into the avocado, it may be past its prime.
How do you slice an avocado?
Like a professional, of course! The AMCO Avocado Slicer and Pitter is the perfect tool for the job. It pops out the pit and yields perfect slices every time!
